Suitcase stacks

Jamesplumb, the design label of British couple Hannah Plumb and James Russell, creates these ingenious and highly covetable suitcase stacks and chests.

Old suitcases are repurposed into unique chests of drawers, each housed individually in antiqued steel and wood cases, tailor made for a perfect fit.

Each case is carefully and painstakingly repaired and repurposed, and then given the finishing touch: a Swedish linen lining. The outcome is a vintage assemblage to store your most precious possessions.

Hannah and James are well known for their work with the outcast and overlooked, transforming them into once-off assemblages and luminaries.

With Hannah’s desire to find life and potential in the forgotten, and James’ interest in exposing hidden beauty in the everyday, they juxtapose practical function with their sculptural vision.
