We can’t help being slightly envious of Tokyo right now. Even though Cape Town’s nabbed World Design Capital 2014, the Japanese now have their very own Established & Sons showroom.
In partnership with Japanese decor and design brand Toyo Kitchen & Living, Established & Sons have opened a mono-brand showroom, an ode to their strong following in the country.
Established & Sons CEO Maurizio Mussati says, “Japan has been chosen for the first mono–brand showroom as this has been a key market for us since the very beginning.”
“The country embraced Established & Sons and has passionately appreciated our designs for their quality and innovation as well as the idiosyncratic humour for which our brand is renowned,” he explains.
We think someone should send Maurizio a memo and let him know that the South African design community is just as crazy about the brand’s furniture and accessories.
The Japanese showroom will present an array of Established & Sons furniture, lighting and accessories from the current collection and new 2011 range. This collection includes a variety of products and designers, from Cape by Konstantin Grcic, Revolver by Leon Ransmeier, and Mammoth by Klaus Haapaniemi and Mia Wallenius.
The continuing collaboration between Sebastian Wrong and Richard Woods will be marked by the presentation of their covered Hay Bale seating as well as vinyl prints displayed in the showroom.
The mono-brand showroom is located at 10 Minami Aoyama, Minato–ku, Tokyo, Japan.
